Frequently asked questions
Is this a real school or just online classes?
It's Iqra College. Your child is an enrolled Iqra student, on the roll, in the yearbook, at the graduation. The only difference is where they sit.
How is this different from Open Access College?
Open Access is distance education, largely self paced and secular. Here your child joins a live class on a full timetable, with an Iqra teacher and classmates who know their name.
What year levels can we apply for?
Years 7 to 12, starting Term 1 2027.
What qualification do they come out with?
Australian Curriculum through Year 10 and SACE in Years 11 and 12. The same certificate as any other Iqra student.
How does Islamic studies work?
Quran, Arabic and Islamic studies are on the timetable through the week, taught by the same staff who teach them on campus. Prayer sits inside the school day.
Can current Iqra students switch to online?
Iqra Online is designed for families who aren't able to make it to the O'Halloran Hill campus. If your child is already with us on campus, that's where we'd like to keep them. We're building this to reach families we currently can't, rather than to offer an alternative to those already here. If your circumstances have changed and the campus has become difficult, talk to us.
We live outside South Australia. Can we apply?
Not at this stage. Iqra Online is open to South Australian families for now.
